  • Excel Assistant Title

    ***To be eligible for this title, dancers must participate in the Excel Assistant Experience.***

    The Top 5 Excel Assistants are selected in each level, evaluated on a combined score of their audition performance, solo competition score, and workshop class engagement. The winner earns an Excel Assistant position for the 2026-2027 season, giving them the opportunity to train closely with faculty, assist at events, and grow as a leader within our community.

    Mini/Junior & Teen/Senior Top 5 each:

    • 1st Place: $200 cash + Excel Assistant position + $50 Prodigy Convention Scholarship
    • 2nd Place: Fall Excel scholarship + $50 Prodigy Convention Scholarship
    • 3rd Place: Fall Excel scholarship + $50 Prodigy Convention Scholarship
    • 4th Place: Fall Excel scholarship
    • 5th Place: Fall Excel scholarship

    All Soloists receive:

    • Excel Medal
    • FREE Excel Assistant Experience Swag Bag
    • FREE Professional Photo/Video Media of their performance
    • Personalized solo & audition feedback!

  • Excel Ambassador Winners

    Two dancers are selected from each age group to become Excel Ambassadors, chosen by multiple faculty members who consistently noticed them across various classes. Ambassadors demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and positivity. These dancers embody the core values of Excel's community, confidence, and connection, and serve as inspiring representatives for the season.

    Each of the 4 Excel Ambassadors will receive:

    • Fall Excel Scholarship
    • Invitation to all Excel Media Shoots
    • $50 Prodigy Convention Scholarship

  • Excel Class Standouts

    Recognizing dancers who make a lasting impression in each style, our Class Standout Awards celebrate technique, artistry, focus, and musicality. One dancer is selected per style in each level, chosen directly by the class choreographers.

    They will receive:

    • Fall Excel Scholarship
    • FREE Excel Merchandise!

  • Improv Challenge Winners

    During the Excel Improv Challenge, dancers are scored on style, technique, and creativity as they showcase their individuality and artistic instincts. Selections are made based on overall performance quality and the dancer’s ability to connect with the music, take risks, and express authentic movement in the moment.

    Teen/Senior Awards:

    • 1st Place: Fall Excel scholarship + FREE outdoor photoshoot with Aron James Photography
    • 2nd Place: Fall Excel scholarship
    • 3rd Place: Fall Excel scholarship

    Mini/Junior Awards:

    • 1st Place: FREE solo costume by Stardom Dance Costumes + Fall Excel scholarship
    • 2nd Place: Fall Excel scholarship

    ***To be eligible, dancers must participate in the Excel Assistant Experience as a Soloist.***

    Each year, our director hand-selects one standout soloist in each division as the Director's Choice; a personal recognition of artistry, presence, and storytelling on stage.

    Mini/Junior Director's Choice will receive:

    • Fall Excel Scholarship
    • FULL Ryze Dance Convention scholarship

    Teen/Senior Director's Choice will receive:

    • Fall Excel Scholarship
    • FULL Press Play Convention scholarship

    Excel partners with some of the most respected conventions and intensives in the industry to offer scholarship spots to our standout dancers throughout the weekend.

    Teen/Senior Standouts will receive:

    • 3 × Archive Conservatory Summer Intensive Scholarships
    • 1 × FULL Contemporary Dance Lab Summer Intensive Scholarship (Contemporary standout)

    Mini/Junior Standouts will receive:

    • 1 × FULL Movement Lab Summer Intensive Scholarship
